Pillars-online-eisteddfod

The year 2020 brought many surprises that we would like to forget. But, it has also open a lot of opportunities, for those that were brave enough to recognise it and accept it. The launch of the first ever DCEG-Pillars on-line Eisteddfod is one of these opportunities that will enrich the lives of our children for years to come.

During these online events our learners, and learners from the area, will have the opportunity to show-case their talents and their ability in a multitude of Eisteddfod items. A perfect opportunity for the learners to add some spice and enjoyment to a difficult year.

We are looking forward to receiving multiple entries from the DCEG schools’ learners.

During the lock-down and the return to school our learners have worked hard to ensure their academic surety and excellence.  Now it is time to play a bit. Learners can enter into different categories. For every item the learner(s) must record a video of their performance and submit with the entry form. Please refer to the attached rule book and the entry form with the different categories.

Just a word of caution please – if the learners perform with other learners, or in every situation, please ensure that we adhere to the safety rules and regulations regarding the virus – keep the social distancing, masks when not performing, sanitation and other. Please keep our children safe.

In order to enter, please download and fill in the entry form and email it to: Online.eisteddfod@dcegroup.co.za

In everything we do, we stand by our core values, and these values run through and are upheld in all the schools in our brand.
