Do you qualify to register for Grade 12 Subjects?
Rewriting Grade 12 or just some of your subjects,
- If students completed Grade 12 between 2016 - 2020 they will only need to rewrite the National Senior Certificate exam in November 2019, new improved marks are amended, and a new Senior Certificate is awarded.
- If a student completed Grade 12 before 2016 but after 2013, they would have to redo all the SBA’s (School Based Assessments) for their chosen subjects. This will include practical work, orals, research and assignments as done by all Gr. 12’s.
- If a student would like to complete Grade 12 for the first time, they will have to register for 7 compulsory subjects with all the School Based Assessments as required by the CAPS curriculum. It is possible to complete Grade 12 over two years. To qualify, students need to have passed Gr. 11 be in possession of a valid report for Gr. 11.
- If a student completed Gr. 12 before 2014, their case will be assessed on an individual basis.
